Evaluation of pre-proposals in Public Health

The Review Panel of the thematic research module Public Health evaluated the pre-proposals.

The submitted pre-proposals for the thematic module Public Health were peer-reviewed from external researchers and practitioners, and, based on these reviews, carefully evaluated and discussed by the Review Panel, consisting of nine international experts. The main evaluation criteria were scientific quality and relevance for development.

From a total of nine submitted pre-proposals, five project teams consisting of researchers in Switzerland and their research partners coming from the global south received an invitation to submit a full proposal. The total funding requested in the nine pre-proposals amounts to CHF 23.3 million, whereas the thematic module has a budget of approximately 14 million for six years of research.

The applicants invited to submit a full proposal have the possibility to apply for a preparatory grant to enable the collaborative elaboration of a full proposal among the research partners of a consortium.
