24 Pre-proposals invited to submit full proposals in the third thematically open call
The Review Panel met in September 2017 for the evaluation of 94 pre-proposals. Its decisions were ratified by the Specialised Committee International Collaboration.
The third thematically open call of the r4d programme resulted in 94 evaluated pre-proposals. The Review Panel of the thematically open module invited 24 pre-proposals to submit a full proposal. All full proposals will be peer-reviewed and evaluated by the Review Panel in April 2018.
The total budget requested by the 24 invited pre-proposals is CHF 14.2 Mio. The available budget for the third thematically open call is approximately CHF 6.2 Mio.
The invited pre-proposals emerge from the different science domains as follows:
- 35% Biology and Medicine
- 31% Mathematics, Natural and Engineering Sciences
- 34% Social Sciences and Humanities
The gender distribution of the Swiss main applicants of the invited pre-proposals is 29% female and 71% male.
The share of Universities of Applied Sciences is for the invited pre-proposals 23%, while the Cantonal Universities have a share of 58%, the ETH Domain a share of 10%, and other research institutes a share of 9%.
The final funding decisions will be taken and communicated in April and May 2018.
